Arizona Child Predator Update

I recently commented on the Arizona child predator that law enforcement says is breaking into homes through windows and assaulting young girls. Summary: On Sunday November 5, 2006 at 10:45 pm the described suspect forced open a bedroom window where the victim was sleeping. The suspect kidnapped the victim and left the area in a white colored car. The suspect had sexual contact with the victim and then dropped her off at a stranger’s residence in the area of 2200 W. Devonshire and then fled the area in an unknown direction.- SOURCE I had not been able to track down the sketch of the predator that was released by law enforcement in that area, so I requested that anyone with information as to where I could find it, let me know. Thanks to Nikki, we now have a copy of it, from the Silent Witness website. From the Sun Sentinal - In a case that has emerged just months after arrests in two separate serial killings cases, police believe this new attacker may have tried at least five times to ...

Attn Phoenix Readers

There is a sexual predator who has been breaking in windows in bedrooms of young girls in Phoenix, AZ. Parents are waking up through the night to check on their little girls, sleeping alongside them in their beds and even using heavy furniture to block the windows. It's all in response to the latest serial predator to stalk the Phoenix area: A brazen man who creeps into homes in the night to abduct and sexually assault young victims. "Can you think of anything that would be more serious than to have one of your children, who you believe is safe at home and in bed, taken from your home by a stranger and assaulted?" said police Sgt. Jim Markey. "This has got to be one of the more serious crimes that I would say we have worked on." In a case that has emerged just months after arrests in two separate serial killings cases, police believe this new attacker may have tried at least five times to break into children's' bedrooms at night through a window. An accident? Really?

He hung her by her feet from a rafter. Burned her back with a blowtorch. Poured drain cleaner on her. Raped and beat her. But... according to Robert Drew Stephenson, it's not his fault. It was all just an accident .

Yeah, I'm grinning

But, I can't help it. Let me explain, evidently there is a Carnival of Ohio Bloggers , which is just what it sounds like- a Carnival, of Ohio bloggers. First off, it's a great idea. Ohio is filled with incredible bloggers, like CUG , Right Moment , HomeSweetHome , and of course many many more, so having a carnival dedicated to just Ohio bloggers rocks. I know, I haven't got to the "why I'm grinning" yet. Well see, here's the thing. Writing this here blog is a work of passion. It's depressing, infuriating, and sometimes down right difficult to do. But, I'm dedicated to doing it, because I feel the posts are all stories about real people- that need to be told. I don't do it to get anything in return, it's not about that. I just want people to know . So, when someone steps up and says something nice, well- I have to grin, because it means that someone is reading. And, that is my entire purpose. This month, one of my posts was chosen for the ...

Special Blogiversary

There's hardly anything more special to a blogger than their first Blogiversary, making it long enough to stick out through the entire first 12 months of blogging, unless of course you count having a blogchild make it past their first Blogiversary. I know, I've bragged about the blogchild Home Sweet Home before- she's one of my favorite bloggers out there, and not just cause I claim her as "mine", but because she takes on a difficult topic, and because she does with with passion, and understanding. When she started blogging a year ago this week, I just knew that she'd be a wonderful addition to the blogosphere- and I was right. I can't be more delighted that she's hung in for the last year, and I hope she continues to for many years to come. So please, take a moment to go over and wish HomeSweetHome a Happy Blogiversary .

It's that time again-

Once again, I'm pleased to announce that the True Crime Bloggers have done their little dance, picked out the best of their posts for the week- and had a Carnival hosted over at Harding's place- TO Crime . So, if your ready to sit for a spell and see what crime news made the top of our lists in the past week, head on over to the Carnival .

New Breasts, Dead Husband

I've written about Cynthia Sommer, the Cali wife of a Marine who decided to commit murder for $250,000 and breast implants, before . Well friends, years after Sgt. Todd Sommer's murder by arsenic- Cynthia has been tried and convicted of murder by a jury of her peers . A woman was convicted Tuesday of murdering her Marine husband with arsenic so she could cash in on his $250,000 life insurance policy, some of which she used to have her breasts enlarged. Prosecutors argued that Cynthia Sommer, 33, wanted a more luxurious lifestyle than she could afford on her 23-year-old husband's $1,700 monthly salary and saw his military life insurance policy as a way to "set herself free." In addition to the breast enlargement surgery, Sommer's friends and co-workers testified, she threw wild parties and had casual sex with multiple partners in the weeks after her husband's death and the payment of the insurance policy. (And when I say "her peers", I only mean p...
