Police give instructions

Police in White Bear Lake have put their heads together and provided residents who are concerned about a repeat sexual predator in their neighborhood with a revolutionary way to protect themselves from him. First, his record: •In 1987, Clemons' first offense involved a 5-year-old female acquaintance. He was convicted of criminal sexual conduct first degree in Dakota County. •In 1990, Clemons was convicted of criminal sexual conduct in the fourth degree in Dakota County. Horace Mann Williams

Horace Mann Williams likely won't be around for the next millennium, but regardless of that- prosecutors want him sentenced to serve the next 1000+ years in prison. I'm thinking that out of the last on hundred cases I've read- this one might actually be the best one when it comes to finding a punishment that fits the crime. Horace Mann Williams, 44, is facing a penalty of up to 1,330 years in prison when he is sentenced Friday at the Murrieta Courthouse, said Deputy District Attorney Burke Strunsky. Williams previously spent six years in prison for sexual molestation in the early 1990s. He was convicted in February of 11 felony counts of lewd acts upon a child under 14 and one count of digital penetration of a child under 14, along with a sentence-enhancing allegation of multiple victims. Outside court, jurors said they convicted Williams because he showed a pattern of behavior typical for child molesters. “After a first offense and after a parole violation, he couldn't...

The Jersey Pedophile

By now, I imagine that everyone has heard at least a little about the New Jersey pedophile who has been arrested after an intense search by Interpol. Special agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested a suspected pedophile photographed sexually abusing young boys in Southeast Asia after Interpol issued a global request for help. Wayne Nelson Corliss, 58, was detained in Union City, N.J., on Thursday — just two days after Interpol made a rare appeal for the public's assistance in the international manhunt to catch him, the police agency said. Other than being a sick bastard dealing in child porn and raping children- it seems that Corliss had other hobbies too, like playing Santa at children's parties and breeding dogs. I don't have a link for the following, as it was sent over by Mickey Rat (for those that don't know the name- he's the real sleuth on Joseph Duncan and while he's retired from blogging, he'll still be one of the webs most im...

Fighting back

There's little information on it, but it seems that a woman who was raped and beaten decided to fight back against her attacker... and ended up fatally stabbing him. Can we throw her a party, and thank her for preventing this monster from ever doing this again? God knows, she did a better job of stopping him than any court or sex offender counseling could have.

Reasons to be in your kids lives

He hadn't seen his daughter since January. He never could have known the abuse she was suffering through- that she'd spent weeks being locked in a closet, that her bones had been broken, and her body battered. After all, she was in the care of her mother- and what mother would allow that, let alone do it? Evidently, Jennifer Leonard, 36, and Melissa Chandler, 30 , who are sisters- are just the mothers that would do that: The father of a 4-year-old girl said he had no idea that she was suffering abuse that police say included being held in closets for weeks while bound with zip ties. Mary Deakyne and her 4-year-old cousin, Justin Leonard, were being treated at a hospital for injuries after they were found Monday at the Kokomo home where they lived with their mothers. Mary's father, Aaron Deakyne, of Anderson, said he last saw his daughter in January and that while she appeared well cared for and happy, he later sensed that something was wrong. "Really I don't know w...

A ten year old mother

So often, we see these young teenage girls having babies and we think to ourselves that really, these girls are barely anything more than children themselves still. Usually, just the fact that they put themselves in a position that allowed them to accidentally get pregnant to start with is a sign that they have not yet reached the point of maturity which would have helped them in making wise choices and taking proper precautions. Most of us as adults understand the difficult paths these girls will have to follow- regardless of the method they choose to deal with their situation. Compound motherhood at an early age with being in that situation because of a sexual assault, and the effects of the impending baby become much harder. Even if the child is adopted out, there is always that reminder of knowing that they bore a child because of rape. And if they choose to keep the child- well, you can imagine. Now, take motherhood at an early age, and the cause of that being rape, then add to t...

Watching the Derby vs Watching the Baby

It's a difficult choice- do you watch the 2 month old baby which you're lack of understanding of birth control methods helped bring into this world therefore making you the 'responsible' person in maintaining adequate care for said child; or do you slip into a off-track betting parlor for 20 minutes to watch a bit of the Derby? Choices, choices, choices... what to do. Most of us might actually use our heads a little and opt for taking care of the child. Or at least attempting to find someone else with a high enough IQ to take care of the child for us. But not Krystal Rose Downes and Jhimy Alban Vintimilla, no they couldn't be bothered with doing that. So, they left their car running- baby inside- locked the doors and went into Suffolk Regional Off-Track Betting Corp. branch in Southampton. The 'mother', and I use that term very loosely, defended her actions by saying that she believed the " infant was safe enough because the car's heat was on "...
