Girl's prosthetic leg stolen WTW

Melissa Huff survived an accident two years ago, but tragically lost her leg due to it. She was however able to continue to play sports, and resumed playing competitive softball after the accident and is now a high school sophomore.

As I still have 58 minutes to post my weekly White Trash Wednesday entry, I thought this was a fitting story. Not because of Melissa- she is a outstanding example to young people everywhere. However, this does have some white trash news in it, only we don't know who the trash is.

I'll let the quote do the explaining for me:

For the second time in recent months, somebody broke into a 16-year-old girl’s home and stole her prosthetic leg — including one that had been donated following the first crime, authorities said.

The thieves took a $12,000 cosmetic leg and a donated $16,000 leg that Melissa Huff uses to play softball, her mother, Lisa Huff, said. She said a camera in the room was untouched.

I'm not sure what kind of heartless person would steal a young girls prosthetic leg, let alone steal replacements too, but I can feel safe in saying that they are bottom of the barrel trash.

I happened upon an article today about this. the legs have been returned, they were put into Melissa's mothers van on Wednesday.

Boyfriends...

I sometimes wonder if certain men have some sort of animal DNA breed into them. The type of DNA or whatever it is that makes animals ritually preform certain actions. Like lions, when a male lion takes over a pride it'll often kill the offspring of the previous male, before mating with the female lions and creating cubs of it's own. I only wonder this, because it seems like there are an overwhelming number of men out there that end up killing the children of their girlfriends, not all of them do- but on a case by case comparison between girlfriends killing their boyfriends offspring and boyfriends doing it, it just seems that it's a lot more common amoung men. NOT THAT ALL OF THEM DO THIS... there are some great boyfriends/stepfathers out there that actually take care of kids as if they are their own... but then we have cases like Christopher Thunborg and Kashon Scott.
