I was rehashing all the annoying things my other half has done over the years tonight. And I thought, wow wouldn't it be nice to share the most dead brained thing he's ever done. Sounds like a great idea to me. Even though, honestly I most likely shouldn't admit it, and will likely be embarrassed to claim he's mine after I share it. The fact that I stayed with him afterwards- it just goes to prove how love can overcome anything. As long as he promises to never never do it again.
I am republican. A conservative, with basic beliefs that no matter how you feel about any war- you are bound by honor to respect those that serve. To show them gratitude for the service they willingly take up on behalf of the rest of us. I believe that you do not become a traitor to those willing to give their lives for their country, one should reserve the greatest of honors for the brave men and women who make up our military forces.
Never turn your backs on them. Never.
With that in mind- the most stupid thing my husband has ever had the nerve to do was- volunteer for the Kerry Edwards carnival when it came to town. He even brought home tickets to the damned thing. Imagine me, sitting there listening to some man whose running mate desecrated the very sacrifices of those that served our country. Needless to say- NEITHER of us attended.
So that's my bit of sharing for tonight. I shamefully end this evenings blogging. Readers should note that even after all the time that has passes since said event- I have reminded him daily that his guy lost.
I AM SO SORRY I MARRIED A DEMOCRAT.
