Sex Offender Released

In another case of a rapist walking out of jail with little time served, a Oklahoma father is questioning why it is that the man who raped his 13 year old daughter is free after only four months.

Jurors sentenced 38-year-old Gregory Bryant to 30 years in prison for raping the 13-year-old girl. But Pawnee County District Court Judge Jefferson Sellers said the jury's verdict was a miscarriage of justice, so he suspended Bryant's sentence.

A miscarriage of justice? The girl was 13. He was 38. HE RAPED HER. I'd have to say the miscarriage of justice happened when a judge went and overturned the sentence given by the jury and then had the balls to release this rapist.

Someone please tell me- just what is going on with judges? Are they just wanting attention from the media and for some odd reason they have decided that the only way to get it is to betray those those come before them as victims of crimes seeking justice?

I've tried to find more information on this case, but have not yet been able to. Those with any background information on this case- let me know.

All this just keeps blowing my mind...

Jimmyb is a friend of mine and he told me after I had visited you the other day....that I should check you out via email. So glad to have found you and Miss Lisa..Beyond Frazzled. It is blessing to see someone else outraged by these predators and the judges that are releasing them. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP....

It is almost like these judges want the media to challenge their legal loop holes...and the overwhelming judges that are doing this are liberals. That is a fact.

It is my understanding, that the judge found the alleged 13yr old victim's testimony regarding alleged anal sex with out pain or bleeding to be not credible taken in conjunction with numerous credibility issues with the complaining witness and her mother. Not to mention the fact he had refused to allow the defense a continuance to compel the person who had done the "rape" exam to testify. Prosecutors often fail to bring unfavorable state witnesses to court believe it or not. Presumably the evidence from the exam would have been inconsistant with anal incourse with a 13yr old girl. In laymens terms the physical evidence did not match the testimony that made it before the jury. It is my understanding that this judge after hearing the girls testimony realized the reversable error that was about to result. He did the right thing and prevented an injustice from happening.

We need more judges like this. I have practiced before him and he is an excellent judge. I posted previously but it is curiously missing.

" I posted previously but it is curiously missing."

I doubt that. Had you posted, and had it been deleted as you're hinting- you'd see a little trash can where your post had been and something to the effect of "this comment removed" next to it. Plus, I don't remove comments because they are in disagreeance with mine thoughts- I only remove them when they are completely offensive.

Perhaps it is under a different entry.

Recently, he (rapist) was jailed into the Pawnee County for violating sex offender registration law. No further news has been published.

Florida Sex Offender Registry

Reading the news today, I was taken back to see that the Florida Sex Offender registry was being criticized. Having had the chance to look at it previously, I had always found it rather informative, and well organized. The issue that many are having with it now wouldn't be noticed by the occasional browser on the site. Which makes it even worse. A review of the FSR has found some rather unsettling statistics: The News-Press analyzed the Florida Department of Law Enforcement database of 36,306 sex offenders and found: • 9,205 of them are incarcerated • 7,037 have run away or can't be found • 824 have been deported; and • 516 are dead. Of the 15,573 sex offenders listed as released and not on parole or probation, only 11,355 of those actually live in Florida. Sex offender registries can only be usefully, and only fully do what they where designed to do when they are updated, maintained and monitored continuously. When you are relying on the SO registries to monitors how safe your...

This land is my land, this land is not your land...

I was reading the illegal immigrant news this morning... you know, all about the Spanish National anthem... and all about their big rally May 2... and I started thinking. Perhaps, just perhaps we need to stand up. It may be a really good time to remind everyone who's country this is. 12 million illegals... heh, I think we can beat that. The rough estimate is that the US has a population of 298,000,000, or close too it. Take away the estimated 12 million illegals, and we still have 286,000,000 give or take some. So, basically, if one were to be honest- a boycott by legal citizens would be more impressive. 12 million illegals, who can not legally vote verses 286 million citizens who can minus children and some criminals. My country. Not theirs. My taxes, my jobs, my political leaders. 286 million people should be able to remind law makers just who put them in office. 286 million people should be able to remind companies who buys their products. 286 million people should be able to si...

Lost Little Girl

It has been 11 years... dare I say hello to old friends?   There's a new crime, a new missing person, a new murdered woman, a new victim. Nothing has changed. All these years and still - its all the same.   Gabby Petito   She's just one of countless pretty white blonde girls that the main stream media has paraded in front of us, capturing our attention as they lay out the plot that will play across our TVs and phone screens as we wait... first for clues as to where she could be, then for the news she was found, we wait for the reports that it was a homicide, detais on her last encounters... we want to know the cause of death. More than that we want to know where her #vanlife sharing and who most of the world believes was her killer, boyfriend Brian Christopher Laundrie is.   How do they pick which missing person will make the best headlines? How do they determine that Gabby will bring more views than Mary Johnson ? or Dulce Maria Alavez ? Why not ...
