Army Deserter Arrested, Charged

When the Fairmount Park security guard saw 20 year old Andrew Leon and the person he was kissing inside of a parked vehicle, the guards first thought was that the person looked too young to be out. When the guard went to further investigate the situation, he found that the person with Leon was a 13 year old girl.
Leon was arrested under suspension of molestation, and it was discovered that the he had met his victim through the infamous online community- MySpace. Riverside police reported that this is the forth incident involving minors and Myspace since the beginning of the year.

Leon is claiming that he believed the child to be older than she actually was. However, that isn't all Leon has to worry about, as it turns out that he went AWOL from the Army after a short stint in the Midwest. Desertion from the U.S. Armed Forces, and child molestation. His mom must be proud.

I have to continue to wonder just what it is that leads parents to ignore their children's activities online. Who among us would allow our children to walk alone into a building filled with pedophiles, rapist and child molesters? I dare to say that none of us would... and yet so many of us turn a blind eye to our children logging onto a chat room, online community or message board filled with them.

Tip of the Hat to "A Proud American!"- who despite a rocky start here, has turned out to have a bit more in common with me than first imagined.

Lilo,

I have visited here a few times before but have never commented. Thank you for having this BLOG and providing all this information. I have an 8 year old grandaughter and I worry all the time about the things you talk about. It makes me sick to read about all the terrible things that people can do to our children.

Cathy,

Thanks for reading this, the more people that know what is going on, the more people that are effected by reading about it- the better chance we have on stopping it. I'm often sicken by the stories too... before I started blogging them, I read them everyday and it just got to the point where I had to say something, and I haven't been able to shut up since.

Please feel free to come back and comment as often as you like. I enjoy hearing peoples thoughts on the different stories, and so many times readers present a way of looking at it that I hadn't thought of.

this may seem completely out of place, considering most people always seem to place the victimization on the younger person, but according to the news story Andy was under the impression that the girl was older. And kissing constitutes a sexual offense? Now it is true that many stories like this are of true sexual offenses, but if kissing a girl that you thought was older can put you in jail for 20 years, then maybe the victim here is actually not the girl.

He loves me, he loves me not, oh what the heck he loves me...

It seems to resemble a bit of a 3rd grade crush. Mag said first grade ... but it's really less annoying that having my ponytail pulled. He loves me... after all, he keeps linking to me . He loves me not... evidently that's why he uses my comments out of context and twists my words... he loves me, because clearly he likes to "poke the bear" (That 70's Show quote). Yes, I just referred to myself as a bear. A lot less hairy, but no less scary. Because anyone that thinks you should be locked up for the rest of your life is indeed scary. Especially when she likes to go around telling everyone how demented you are... and how she'd like to see you locked up forever. And even more scary when you know that it's the truth she speaks. And Lindsay, he is demented. And he should be locked up forever. And, well it seems that he is a fan of mine. Yep, that sick lil monkey can't help himself. Mom Arrested After Baby Found Mauled By Dogs

This is a story that I really don't want to share, it angers me all the while breaking my heart at how someone could be so cold and callous. My only comment is that there is always a better way. Some may of thought of going to the hospital, others may have thought about calling someone- anyone for help. But the complete disregard this person showed is horrifing. PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- Investigators said the badly-mauled body of a newborn infant was found Tuesday afternoon on the banks of the Ohio River. The next day, the baby's 21-year-old mother was arrested after admitting to a hidden pregnancy. The mother told investigators that the baby was still-born at home. She said she panicked and disposed of the baby boy a few miles from her home, NBC 4's Erin Tate reported. The investigation began after authorities received a 911 call from a frantic mother. Dispatcher: "911, what's your emergency?" Caller: "My kids were just outside, telling me that the dog was ch...
