Daniel Flores

Daniel Flores was more than likely going to have to find a new place to call home come January, as a new North Carolina law restricting how close a sexual offender can live to a school will be going into effect. Flores claims he was already in the process of looking for a new place to live, other than the home he shared with three other men... only now the move is likely to come even sooner than he expected.
The home of a registered sex offender was destroyed by fire just days after neighbors launched a campaign to force him out. It happened in the Misty Ridge subdivision in south Charlotte.

The man who was renting the home said he has received death threats and hate mail after his neighbors discovered a registered sex offender was also living there.

At this time, there is no evidence to connect the fire to the threats, in fact fire investigators have stated that they believe the fire started as an accident, rather than "they spitefully or vindictively tried to do something to" the sex offenders home as he stated.

The Beating Death Of a Child

Michael Porter was arrested Thursday for the death of his two year old stepdaughter. He is accused of striking the little girl in the abdomen earlier in the week causing blunt force trauma and inflicting deadly wounds.
