Boni Frederick of Morganfield had been a social worker in Kentucky. She was just doing her job when she went to the home of a nine-month-old who was in custody , so that the mother could have visitation with the boy.
On Monday, Henderson police were called to the 1200 block of Clay Street to check on the social worker, who was supposed to be visiting taking the baby to visit his mother.
No one answered the door, so police executed a search warrant and found Frederick's body inside.
Police Chief Ed Brady says the social worker's "body has obvious head trauma to it. There may be other injuries, but nothing visible at this point."
Police have issued an Amber Alert for the baby, Saige Terrell, and say he may be with his mother, 33-year-old Renee Terrell and her boyfriend, 23-year-old Christopher Wayne Luttrell.
Terrell does not have custody rights to baby Saige. Police say Terrell has family in Evansville and Fort Wayne in Indiana, in Louisville and in New York.
