And the answer is "NO"

You all know that I like to help people out, and that I like to post screen captures of my stat referrals. (Okay, so normally they are the bad ones... but hang in here with me for a moment)

Today's screen capture left me laughing. And made me realise that amid all of the bad in the world- there's still some good. Of course, maybe the child in question isn't seeing it that way... but every parent who has supplied their little angels with TV's, phones, computers, games, toys, and gadgets know what I am talking about, especially since so few of us had all of that in our rooms when we were growing up.

(read the line on referring link to see the search terms)

No, dear friend... it's not child abuse, but thanks making me smile.

oh, Lilo. that made me sad. I know that's a dumb thing to make me sad, and in a way, it's so cute... in an innocent sort of way. I laughed, too, because you're right. I did not have ANY of that growing up. Not in my room, and not allowed to use it anyway. Even if I weren't grounded. I was actually kept locked in my room from the outside for most of my childhood... (without even being allowed to use materials to draw or color, much less use the phone!) ...but I did have books and my bed. I had to ask permission to use the bathroom.
I guess it does kind of make me smile to see that even kids with "normal" lives (being treated "normally") have times they feel mistreated, too. What a cute kid!

*laughs* Amazing, and good for those parents! My first thought though, is that the kid has been 'deprived' of all electronics except the Internet? I imagine it's for schoolwork, eh? That lucky kid has no idea what abuse is.
Thanks for sharing.

Verifiable or provable by means of observation or experiment: empirical laws. Guided by practical experience and not theory, especially in medicine Kennedy hate crimes rider may doom Hatch's sex offender bill By Robert Gehrke The Salt Lake Tribune WASHINGTON - A fight over federal hate crimes legislation could torpedo Sen. Orrin Hatch's push to strengthen the nation's sex-offender registries and clamp down on sex crimes. The Senate Judiciary Committee gave quick, unanimous approval to Hatch's bill Thursday, clearing its way for consideration by the full Senate. But Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., said he plans to try to attach language to a bill that would require tougher sentences, provide federal assistance and offer grants to prosecute hate crimes - those motivated by hatred for a race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. Boyfriends...

I sometimes wonder if certain men have some sort of animal DNA breed into them. The type of DNA or whatever it is that makes animals ritually preform certain actions. Like lions, when a male lion takes over a pride it'll often kill the offspring of the previous male, before mating with the female lions and creating cubs of it's own. I only wonder this, because it seems like there are an overwhelming number of men out there that end up killing the children of their girlfriends, not all of them do- but on a case by case comparison between girlfriends killing their boyfriends offspring and boyfriends doing it, it just seems that it's a lot more common amoung men. NOT THAT ALL OF THEM DO THIS... there are some great boyfriends/stepfathers out there that actually take care of kids as if they are their own... but then we have cases like Christopher Thunborg and Kashon Scott. Thunborg was babysitting his girlfriend's 11 month of baby in March when police say he caused ...
