Payback

While nothing will ever amount to an even payback for the pain suffered at the hands of a sexual abuser- I am all for holding then accountable for their actions to the fullest degree of the law.

That includes suing the bastards for the medical expenses that add up while trying to help a child deal with the abuse they have been put through.

Child molesters should be rotting in jail for the rest of their lives... and let's face it- they don't need any of their worldly possessions while they are in there.

I'm hoping they get every dime this man has... along with every dime he'll ever have in the future (including those that he might happen upon while walking down the street):

The parents of two children molested by a Lower Southampton man want to hit him where it hurts — in his wallet.

The plaintiffs, identified only by their initials in a lawsuit filed in Bucks County court in Doylestown, are seeking more than $50,000 in damages and want convicted sex offender John Barry Schneck to pay for expensive psychological counseling they say the entire family will need.

Lawyers say Schneck tried to avoid being sued by selling his $300,000 home to a friend for $1. A court order approved Thursday has put the Wood Road property in legal limbo while the lawsuit winds its way through the courts.

Schneck, 50, was found guilty in February of indecent assault and indecent exposure. County Judge Albert Cepparulo found that Schneck, a family friend of the plaintiffs’, molested one child more than 100 times, starting when he was just 5 years old and a sibling five times, also starting when the child was 5.

Verifiable or provable by means of observation or experiment: empirical laws. Guided by practical experience and not theory, especially in medicine Kennedy hate crimes rider may doom Hatch's sex offender bill By Robert Gehrke The Salt Lake Tribune WASHINGTON - A fight over federal hate crimes legislation could torpedo Sen. Orrin Hatch's push to strengthen the nation's sex-offender registries and clamp down on sex crimes. The Senate Judiciary Committee gave quick, unanimous approval to Hatch's bill Thursday, clearing its way for consideration by the full Senate. But Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., said he plans to try to attach language to a bill that would require tougher sentences, provide federal assistance and offer grants to prosecute hate crimes - those motivated by hatred for a race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. Florida Sex Offender Registry

Reading the news today, I was taken back to see that the Florida Sex Offender registry was being criticized. Having had the chance to look at it previously, I had always found it rather informative, and well organized. The issue that many are having with it now wouldn't be noticed by the occasional browser on the site. Which makes it even worse. A review of the FSR has found some rather unsettling statistics: The News-Press analyzed the Florida Department of Law Enforcement database of 36,306 sex offenders and found: • 9,205 of them are incarcerated • 7,037 have run away or can't be found • 824 have been deported; and • 516 are dead. Of the 15,573 sex offenders listed as released and not on parole or probation, only 11,355 of those actually live in Florida. Sex offender registries can only be usefully, and only fully do what they where designed to do when they are updated, maintained and monitored continuously. When you are relying on the SO registries to monitors how safe your...
