Thomas Reilly

Thomas Reilly had been previously charged with assaulting his wife in March of this year. The two separated, with his wife being granted custody of their two children, Thomas Reilly.

The two young girls had been dropped off at their fathers home for visitation, but when Reilly, a building engineer and former bar owner failed to answer his phone- his estranged wife became concerned and police were sent to investigate. What they found would devastate Reilly's wife, and police:

A man drowned his two young daughters in a bathtub and hanged himself at his home, authorities said.

The bodies of Thomas Reilly, 5-year-old Megan, and 6-year-old Kelly were found Thursday, just hours after his estranged wife dropped off their children for a visit, police said.


When one takes the cowards way out by killing themselves, but chooses to inflict even more pain by killing children first- that's more than shameful.

Reading the news today, I was taken back to see that the Florida Sex Offender registry was being criticized. Having had the chance to look at it previously, I had always found it rather informative, and well organized. The issue that many are having with it now wouldn't be noticed by the occasional browser on the site. Which makes it even worse. A review of the FSR has found some rather unsettling statistics: The News-Press analyzed the Florida Department of Law Enforcement database of 36,306 sex offenders and found: • 9,205 of them are incarcerated • 7,037 have run away or can't be found • 824 have been deported; and • 516 are dead. Of the 15,573 sex offenders listed as released and not on parole or probation, only 11,355 of those actually live in Florida. Mom Arrested After Baby Found Mauled By Dogs

This is a story that I really don't want to share, it angers me all the while breaking my heart at how someone could be so cold and callous. My only comment is that there is always a better way. Some may of thought of going to the hospital, others may have thought about calling someone- anyone for help. But the complete disregard this person showed is horrifing. I was reading the illegal immigrant news this morning... you know, all about the Spanish National anthem... and all about their big rally May 2... and I started thinking.
