Brief history by Indiana Daily, which also has documented the case from the start:
The Behrman case started six years ago, when 19-year-old IU sophomore
Jill Behrman went on a morning bicycle ride in the Bloomington countryside and never
returned home. Her disappearance made national headlines, igniting the concern
of the town and the university and
raising serious questions about safety.
In March 2003, hunters in rural Morgan County stumbled upon Behrman’s
remains and a grand jury was convened to look into her death. Though information
the grand jury procured during the last three years, they were able to indict
Myers – who pleaded not guilty – in April 2006.
