The irony is just sickening...

Christi Ann Zelek was innocently teaching a class on early childhood development at Union Grove High School when some meany cops busted into the room and arrested her. Just not fair huh? After all, this professionally trained school official shouldn't be faulted over something as small as her grandkids. And, to be frank- when I say 'small' I'm being literal.

Clayton County police charged the grandmother and parents of 13-month-old twin boys with child abuse after discovering the children weigh less than 10 pounds each — far below the 27-39 pound range for children that age.

The grandmother, Christi Ann Zelek, is the special education coordinator for Henry County schools. Clayton County police Chief Jeff Turner said she is also charged with failing to report the child abuse as state law requires education employees to do.

Zelek was teaching a class on early childhood development at Union Grove High School when Clayton police took her into custody.

"During the interview with police, Christi Zelek told us there was 'nothing wrong with those children,' " said Officer William Clendenen.


Seriously I have a great idea for these three, I say we let them dwindle down to around 1/3 of what their weight should be, and then stand back and discuss whether there is 'nothing wrong with those insane people'.

Mom Arrested After Baby Found Mauled By Dogs

This is a story that I really don't want to share, it angers me all the while breaking my heart at how someone could be so cold and callous. My only comment is that there is always a better way. Some may of thought of going to the hospital, others may have thought about calling someone- anyone for help. But the complete disregard this person showed is horrifing. I was reading the illegal immigrant news this morning... you know, all about the Spanish National anthem... and all about their big rally May 2... and I started thinking.
