People annoy me

Annoy... it's not really the right word to use... anger, piss me off... nothing seems to have just the right amount of pending disgust that I need to really get my point across on how deeply I dislike certain members of the human race.

First we have Gregory Ray Brooks- he's a convicted sex offender, who Limestone County sent to jail in 2004 for first-degree sodomy on an 8-year-old victim... I'm thinking they didn't do a good enough job keeping this perv behind bars- especially given his recent acts. Brooks, a twenty something no-way-in-hell-he'd-pass-for-a-teenager evidently missed all the fun he used to have at school dances, so he got himself a 14 year old date to gain entry into one held by Athens Middle School. Thankfully, school officials questioned his age, and disagreed with his notion that he was just 17.
Athens Middle School faculty members stopped Gregory Ray Brooks at the gym door because he appeared to be much older than his date at the Friday dance, Athens Superintendent Orman Bridges Jr. said.

"He didn't look like the 17-year-old he said he was," Bridges said. "The faculty did an excellent job of monitoring who was coming in and catching this guy. They kept him from other students and maybe helped this young lady out of a bad situation." FOXNEWS

Then there is Allenna Ward, a former teacher and 24 year old sexual deviant who liked to pick dates from her classroom roster. She's going to be spending a little time in jail- but I'm thinking it's not even half as long as it should be.
A former middle school teacher was sent to prison for six years Tuesday for having sexual encounters with five teenage boys.

Authorities said Allenna Ward, 24, met 14- and 15-year-old boys at the school where she taught as well as at a motel, a park and behind a restaurant.

"I apologize from the depths of my heart," Ward said in court. FOXNEWS

Then there is the pride and joy of Yankers, Kyeisha Fuller. She clearly has some bent up anger issues.. and a desire to be the pretties girl ever, or at least for people to think that.
Yonkers Police Lt. Sean Mullins said Fuller, who's 23, argued on Tuesday with a guest of her roommate, and it turned violent after the "ugly" remark. She allegedly used a kitchen knife to stab him in the shoulder. FOXNEWS

We have a mother who decided she just couldn't handle her boys anymore, so she abandoned them, leaving them to care for themselves, and called it a 'strike'... I never knew parenthood was unionized. And then there is the 'father' who forced his 12 year old daughter to help dispose of the body of her mother after he allegedly killed and decapitated her.

Verifiable or provable by means of observation or experiment: empirical laws. Guided by practical experience and not theory, especially in medicine Kennedy hate crimes rider may doom Hatch's sex offender bill By Robert Gehrke The Salt Lake Tribune WASHINGTON - A fight over federal hate crimes legislation could torpedo Sen. Orrin Hatch's push to strengthen the nation's sex-offender registries and clamp down on sex crimes. The Senate Judiciary Committee gave quick, unanimous approval to Hatch's bill Thursday, clearing its way for consideration by the full Senate. But Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., said he plans to try to attach language to a bill that would require tougher sentences, provide federal assistance and offer grants to prosecute hate crimes - those motivated by hatred for a race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. The White ...

Florida Sex Offender Registry

Reading the news today, I was taken back to see that the Florida Sex Offender registry was being criticized. Having had the chance to look at it previously, I had always found it rather informative, and well organized. The issue that many are having with it now wouldn't be noticed by the occasional browser on the site. Which makes it even worse. A review of the FSR has found some rather unsettling statistics: The News-Press analyzed the Florida Department of Law Enforcement database of 36,306 sex offenders and found: • 9,205 of them are incarcerated • 7,037 have run away or can't be found • 824 have been deported; and • 516 are dead. Of the 15,573 sex offenders listed as released and not on parole or probation, only 11,355 of those actually live in Florida. Sex offender registries can only be usefully, and only fully do what they where designed to do when they are updated, maintained and monitored continuously. When you are relying on the SO registries to monitors how safe your...
