John David Lashbrook

John David Lashbrook can't control himself, and has a list of sexually charged convictions to prove it.
Lashbrook pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a former girlfriend in 2005, before that in 1996 he sexually assaulted a 22-year-old neighbour by thrusting his hand into her pants. Even before that he was in trouble for breaching a sentence by going to a barbecue at Kinsmen Park, that sentence was in connection with charges in 1992 which was his third conviction for molesting children. Prior convictions where serious offences against six children, between 6 and 9 year old, between 1982 and 1992.

But, hie lawyer doesn't think it's a big enough deal to label him and give him a indefinite prison term.

John David Lashbrook's most recent sex crimes are not serious enough to justify the label of dangerous offender and the indefinite prison term that comes with it, his lawyer said Thursday.

Lashbrook, 51, will wait until July 3 to find out if Judge Marty Irwin will declare him a dangerous offender or the less restrictive long-term offender, or will reject both those sentencing options and impose a regular, defined jail term.

Lashbrook has repeatedly show an inability to control himself, and although he has tried sex offender therapy twice (only once having completed it) while serving time in jail, it clearly hasn't deterred his behaviors.

With an IQ of 69, Lashbrook is borderline mentally retarded, a psychologist wrote in a report to the court. It means he needs more time to learn the concepts in the treatment program, Irwin heard.

When Lashbrook was released in 1996, Saskatoon police took the then-unprecedented step of warning the public that a repeat child molester had been released in Saskatoon.

Mullord said his client wanted to control his pedophilia and was the first released offender to voluntarily sign up to continue sex offender treatment at the RPC.

Wanting to control it, and actually controlling it are two different things- and we can not fail to protect society just because someone has promised that they want to do something. I want a million dollars, but it doesn't mean I'm going to wake up in the morning and be able to see that money appear.

And with his crimes not being limited to just children, he's appearing to be more of a predator of chance than a pedophile- if he has the chance to sexually abuse anyone, he'll do it, without regards to age, or anything else.

Florida Sex Offender Registry

Reading the news today, I was taken back to see that the Florida Sex Offender registry was being criticized. Having had the chance to look at it previously, I had always found it rather informative, and well organized. The issue that many are having with it now wouldn't be noticed by the occasional browser on the site. Which makes it even worse. A review of the FSR has found some rather unsettling statistics: The News-Press analyzed the Florida Department of Law Enforcement database of 36,306 sex offenders and found: • 9,205 of them are incarcerated • 7,037 have run away or can't be found • 824 have been deported; and • 516 are dead. Of the 15,573 sex offenders listed as released and not on parole or probation, only 11,355 of those actually live in Florida. Sex offender registries can only be usefully, and only fully do what they where designed to do when they are updated, maintained and monitored continuously. When you are relying on the SO registries to monitors how safe your...

He loves me, he loves me not, oh what the heck he loves me...

It seems to resemble a bit of a 3rd grade crush. Mag said first grade ... but it's really less annoying that having my ponytail pulled. He loves me... after all, he keeps linking to me . He loves me not... evidently that's why he uses my comments out of context and twists my words... he loves me, because clearly he likes to "poke the bear" (That 70's Show quote). Yes, I just referred to myself as a bear. A lot less hairy, but no less scary. Because anyone that thinks you should be locked up for the rest of your life is indeed scary. Especially when she likes to go around telling everyone how demented you are... and how she'd like to see you locked up forever. And even more scary when you know that it's the truth she speaks. And Lindsay, he is demented. And he should be locked up forever. And, well it seems that he is a fan of mine. Yep, that sick lil monkey can't help himself. He reads this here blog (which is a hint that you should share your thoughts...

Mom Arrested After Baby Found Mauled By Dogs

This is a story that I really don't want to share, it angers me all the while breaking my heart at how someone could be so cold and callous. My only comment is that there is always a better way. Some may of thought of going to the hospital, others may have thought about calling someone- anyone for help. But the complete disregard this person showed is horrifing. PORTSMOUTH, Ohio -- Investigators said the badly-mauled body of a newborn infant was found Tuesday afternoon on the banks of the Ohio River. The next day, the baby's 21-year-old mother was arrested after admitting to a hidden pregnancy. The mother told investigators that the baby was still-born at home. She said she panicked and disposed of the baby boy a few miles from her home, NBC 4's Erin Tate reported. The investigation began after authorities received a 911 call from a frantic mother. Dispatcher: "911, what's your emergency?" Caller: "My kids were just outside, telling me that the dog was ch...
