Sheriff said the woman, Tammy Chmela, 38, did not have the needed permission to attend the event and that a principal spoke with her about it after the fact.
Chmela admitted to having sex with two teenage males in 2004. She was sentenced to five years probation in the case.
"She has to have approval of an administrative officer of the school district to be there," Sheriff said.
Sheriff said authorities told him there was no violation of the law and no legal action is expected to be taken. When asked if this were a case of a procedure "falling through the cracks," Sheriff said, "It's unfortunate, but what I can ascertain, that's the way I would describe it."

"Any individual who has children here has to seek permission to be here," Sheriff said. "The offenders normally know the law. The individuals we meet with here are very good about seeking permission to come on campus. We outline our procedures and protocol. There are things we are less likely to give permission for."
