Teacher has class vote out 5 year old

I get that there are annoying children out there. I know, that's not nice to say- but it is true. In fact, I've got a good half dozen of them within eye shot of my house that are pretty annoying themselves. And despite having to take extra precautions to ensure that the little weasels aren't hanging around my home - I've never felt the need to be mean to them. I'm not friendly mind you, but I'm not mean either.

Wendy Portillo is mean. And what makes her being mean even worse is that unlike me- I didn't ask for extra little heathens to be within 25 yards of me- she's a teacher. It's actually part of her job to have children around her. She made the CHOICE to be around little kids that would possibly prove to be annoying and troublesome. So, her meanness is even more repulsive.

Melissa Barton said she is considering legal action after her son's kindergarten teacher led his classmates to vote him out of class.

After each classmate was allowed to say what they didn't like about Barton's 5-year-old son, Alex, his Morningside Elementary teacher Wendy Portillo said they were going to take a vote, Barton said.

By a 14 to 2 margin, the students voted Alex — who is in the process of being diagnosed with autism — out of the class.

In front of the little boy, classmates were instructed to voice all the things they didn't like about the child, some of which were personally insulting.

Now, in fairness, I'm not saying the child wasn't a troublesome kid. Or that he wasn't annoying or a bother to the rest of the class. I don't know him- so I can't really voice a thought on that. But, I can however say that there is absolutely no reason at all to embarrass and emotionally abuse a child, especially coming from someone in a position like a teacher who clearly should have known better.

Barton said after the vote, Portillo asked Alex how he felt.

"He said, 'I feel sad,' " Barton said.

Alex left the classroom and spent the rest of the day in the nurse's office, she said.

Barton said when she came to pick up her son at the school Wednesday, he was leaving the nurse's office.

"He was shaken up," she said.

Barton said the nurse told her to talk with Portillo, who told her what happened.

Alex hasn't been back to school since then, and Barton said he won't be returning. He starts screaming when she brings him with her to drop off his sibling at school.

Thursday night, his mother heard him saying "I'm not special" over and over.

Seriously, maybe the rest of the world should have a little vote on this teacher, and point out all her faults. I'd vote her out, and add that personally- I think she's a self righteous bitch who clearly shouldn't be teaching children, or even near them. Someone sterilize this idiot now- God only knows what sort of emotional damage she'll inflict upon her own kids.

Guided by practical experience and not theory, especially in medicine Kennedy hate crimes rider may doom Hatch's sex offender bill By Robert Gehrke The Salt Lake Tribune WASHINGTON - A fight over federal hate crimes legislation could torpedo Sen. Orrin Hatch's push to strengthen the nation's sex-offender registries and clamp down on sex crimes. The Senate Judiciary Committee gave quick, unanimous approval to Hatch's bill Thursday, clearing its way for consideration by the full Senate. But Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., said he plans to try to attach language to a bill that would require tougher sentences, provide federal assistance and offer grants to prosecute hate crimes - those motivated by hatred for a race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. Boyfriends...

I sometimes wonder if certain men have some sort of animal DNA breed into them. The type of DNA or whatever it is that makes animals ritually preform certain actions. Like lions, when a male lion takes over a pride it'll often kill the offspring of the previous male, before mating with the female lions and creating cubs of it's own. I only wonder this, because it seems like there are an overwhelming number of men out there that end up killing the children of their girlfriends, not all of them do- but on a case by case comparison between girlfriends killing their boyfriends offspring and boyfriends doing it, it just seems that it's a lot more common amoung men. NOT THAT ALL OF THEM DO THIS... there are some great boyfriends/stepfathers out there that actually take care of kids as if they are their own... but then we have cases like Christopher Thunborg and Kashon Scott. Thunborg was babysitting his girlfriend's 11 month of baby in March when police say he caused ...
