Oh The Miers Nomination

Truth Laid Bear- a whole site about other blogs, and the ecosystem of blogs, among other things is taking a poll on the Miers Nomination . So, because I can, and because it's the least I can do- I'm stating my mind set on whether she should or should not make it to the high court. It was my job to vote in an election, and to choose the person most likely to represent my beliefs and lead the nation. I voted for Bush. It is not my job now to second guess him. By casting my vote- I gave him the right to lead as he sees fit. (I may second guess myself- which I don't ever do.) I voted for him to lead as best he could- and if this is the best he can do, I accept that. If he says Miers is the person best suited- who am I too argue? I helped put him where he is and gave him the power that he has now. If Miers turns out to be the worst person possible- than I take the blame for helping to put her their by voting Bush in. If she turns out to be the best- than I get to accept that pat...

Updates: Frappr has moved, the above link will get ya there with a redirect- but this is the new link - (not my fault this time) which will get you there without a redirect page.

ACLU Loves Sickos

POTTSVILLE, Pa. - Child-welfare authorities seized a newborn from a hospital Friday and placed the baby in a foster home because his father is a convicted sex offender. A judge granted the mother supervised visitation rights but prohibited visits from the father. "There's no happy ending in these things. It's what we think is the best interest of the children," Gerard Campbell, executive director of Schuylkill County Children and Youth Services, which took custody of the baby over the mother's objections. The baby was born Tuesday and the agency obtained an emergency court order Wednesday authorizing it to take the infant after arguing that his safety is in jeopardy because the father pleaded guilty to rape and sodomy two decades ago in New York. The agency also cited concerns about the mother's alleged history of drug abuse, the mother's lawyer said. Another hearing is set for Oct. 31. "I think they're sending the message that if you or any mem...
