300 Years

I believe in long, lengthy, never going to live long enough to actually serve, prison sentences. So I am delighted that 42-year old Ricardo Zamora will die in prison sometime way before he completes his 300 years prison term. Source HERE " Wednesday's sentence follows his guilty plea on Monday to a dozen counts of sexually assaulting his step daughter. There were six life sentences and six 20-year sentences handed down, which Judge Manuel Banales ruled would be served consecutively, meaning one at a time, not concurrently. Both he and the jury felt Zamora needed to be put away for good, to protect the victim in this case and prevent him from abusing anyone else ." I have to agree with him needing to be put away for good. A little more: " On the first day of the punishment phase Monday, the now 18-year old victim told the jury of seven men and five women about the 10 years of abuse she endured from Ricardo Zamora that began with simple touching and progressed into v...

First, I feel compelled to say that I like Kentucky. Some of my fondest memories are those that involve the yearly trips we took to Kentucky as a family when I was young. Always to Louisville, always for a convention of JW's. Not the the conventions where what I enjoy remembering now- (although MOM DAD- I know I know I know.) One time we went to some old town- it was like being in the 1800's. It was just the neatest place. And I can remember staring out the windows watching as the land seemed to be stretching out to the sun, the beauty of it something I could never put into words. Watching the sun set over the rolling endless grass blades was always amazingly breathtaking. I honestly thought that Kentucky would always be the most beautiful place I could imagine. Well... even though my thoughts and memories of it will remain cherished- the whole place dropped a notch in beauty. Sorry Kentucky. But really I am a mother now... can you blame me? John Couey

I know I often think "someone remove this judge". I know I have asked (and still remain unacknowledged) that one certain Becker County Judge step down, that one certain Texas Judge be tried for child endangerment. I know that some think I over step my blogging when I make this SERIOUS suggestions- but I must believe that I am a bit more realistic than Assistant Public Defender Daniel Lewan , the attorney representing the sex offender responsible for kidnapping, sexually assaulting and killing 9-year-old Jessica Lunsford- John Couey. H e put a motion in this week that the judge be removed from the case. Evidently the defense had asked that the trial be postponed from the current date of Feb 2006 until summer or fall of 2006. Yes- that's right TWO THOUSAND AND SIX. They feel that Judge Richard Howard is not giving the defense enough time to prepare for a case that could have more than 300 witnesses. 300 witnesses? I have to wonder if that is a bit um- over doing it. I can ...

Duncan's Demons

Many following the horrific story of Joseph Edward Duncan III have felt from the beginning that his story did not start, and would not end with the unsettling case in Coeur d'Alene. Reading his blog has given many insight to the terrorist thoughts that flowed from his demented mind. It's the passage where he speaks of getting even that sent many cybersleuths, bloggers, and casual inquirers cold chills. Knowing the story- or bits of it- of the Groene family upon whom Duncan unleashed his demons only lead many to believe that out there- there would be many more victims. The words haunted us " .............My intent is to harm society as much as I can, then die..........All those years I dreamed of getting out...And getting even. Instead, I got out and I got even, but did not get caught. So, I got even again, and again did not get caught. So, I figured, well, I got even twice (actually more, but that's here nor there), even if I'm the only one who knows, so now what....

Ada Woman Charged in Rape

Okay, so she's not the bumbling beauty parading around as a teacher that Pamela Turner is, none the less she evidently shares a passion for sex with young boys. This 37 year old Ada Ohio mother has bond set at $15,000 (yall just know how I despise that sum of money as bail) for the rape of a 16 year old boy. Evidently the boy had his parents permission for sleeping over at the home of Tracy Hefner, but she did not have their consent to rape him during the incident at her home late in June. At 27, I can not for the life of me understand what on earth is so screwed up in these women's heads that they feel it is necessary to engage in sexual acts with children. Let's face it- there's not one 16 year old out there that has the emotional, and mental capacity that a full grown sane adult male has. What the thinking is that leads to acts such as this will never be quite clear to me. Just what is wrong with these women that they feel they need a child in such a intimate manner...

13 year old Rapist- Blended Sentence

" The boy severely beat the woman and raped her repeatedly. As the crime occurred, a police officer, on the way to the woman’s home on an unrelated matter, discovered the crime. The boy was arrested in the woman’s home, prosecutors said. Psychologist D. Susan Dyer said the boy’s only chance to manage his violent behavior as a sexual offender was to admit to the crime. Only then can his counseling be successful, she said. On top of that, the boy’s family fully supports his claims of innocence even after a jury con-victed him, which makes it harder to receive effective counseling , Dyer said. The boy is seeking an appeal and wants a new trial, his attorney, Steve Chamberlain said. The psychologist said the boy has the tendency to “ erupt in a blind rage .” Even if the boy owns up to his crime, counseling is no guarantee he will not commit a violent crime in the future, Dyer said. “If treatment is unsuccessful, he would just be an older version of what he is now, and the community wo...

Because Even "Judges" in Scotland are Stupid

Sometimes I think SOME of America's judges are down right thoughtless. And so every so often- I read the rest of the world's news. Just to bring it back into my head that our judicial system isn't the only one allowing people who completely lack common sense to hand out ignorant rulings on heinous criminals. Today's winner of complete stupidity comes from Scotland. Where for some reason I imagined it being a bit more discerning in its sentencing. I was wrong. Take note of the twenty four years of committing sexual child abuse among numerous children and weigh that with the ten years of actual prison time. Something just isn't adding up. Source HERE A SERIAL child molester has been jailed for ten years after a judge condemned his 'catalogue of abuse of the most horrible and appalling kind'. Alexander Stewart, 60, sexually abused six girls and boys during a 24-year period of ruthless exploitation. The High Court in Edinburgh heard that Stewart would turn to ...
